The Kôd Group was founded in 1970.  The members of the Kôd group were Branko Andrić, Slavko Bogdanović, Ferenc Kiš-Novak, Janez Kocijančić, Miroslav Mandić, Mirko Radojičić, Slobodan Tišma and Peđa Vranešević. The group was initiated by Kocijančić, Radojičić and Tišma.
The group existed until 1971, and it was close to the group (Ǝ, founded in 1971, with which they worked from 1971 to 1973 in the Group (Ǝ-Kôd (Vladimir Kopicl, Mirko Radojicic, Čedo Drča, Ana Raković, Slobodan Tišma and Peđa Vranešević).

The group’s activities can be divided into two phases: the early phase (from its founding to the end of 1970), which is characterised by breadth of work, synthetic approach and aspiration for the autonomy of art in relation to ideology, and its approach to life. The works, therefore, ranged from Fluxus and actions to theatre and film, from poor art to land art and process art, from poetry to conceptual art. […] From the end of 1970 until the end of the group’s work (May 1971), most of the works belonged to the conceptual art, mostly of the linguistic type. *

The members of the group were connected with the Novi Sad Youth Tribune, one of the most important gathering places for the young neo-avant-garde art scene.

Joint actions include a spatial intervention in the Art Salon of the Youth Tribune (April 9, 1970), an action based on the idea of Slobodan Tišma with the erection of a copper cube in the square near the Catholic Gate (April 18, 1970), photography of a neon sign of the Construction Company Aesthetics. April 1970), the unrealised project of painting wood in white, performance-performance Zglob shown at the Youth Forum on May 24, 1970, then TRI TRI according to the idea of Miroslav Mandić (October 9, 1970).

The first exhibition of the Kôd Group in Tjenište during July 1970 consisted of three parts, followed by a break in the work of the group.

They collaborated with Goran Trbuljak in the action  Javni čas umetnosti – Dunavski kej Novi Sad (1970). In the late 1970s, they created several joint works in the form of a square divided into four parts where each of the members filled his own square.
